Abstract


Indonesia is a country that has cultural diversity and abundant natural wealth. Indonesians widely use plants and herbs in various fields, such as culinary arts, crafts, beauty, and medicine. The body has a defense mechanism to prevent bacteria and viruses from entering the body. It is called the body's immune system. Herbal medicine is one of Indonesia's cultural heritages, and it still survives and continues to be preserved. Jamu is a traditional Indonesian concoction made from several parts of plants, including roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruit, and seeds. This research uses educational methods, where various outreach or outreach is carried out to educate the public about the process and methods of making herbal medicine. The aim is to provide understanding to the surrounding community. The technique used in this work program includes stages, namely preparation, data collection, and evaluation. This herbal medicine-making activity was carried out to maintain the body immunity of the people of Teluk Singkama Village because traditional herbal medicine contains various spices and natural ingredients that are believed to increase the body's immune system. Another reason for making this herbal medicine is that herbal medicine is often made from spices such as turmeric, ginger, and other natural ingredients that contain active compounds such as antioxidants and anti-inflammatory.
