Peer Review Process
Overview of the evaluation stages, editorial workflow, and review policies for submitted manuscripts.
Review Workflow & Model
In the review process, EXPLORE (EXP) involves writers, editors, section editors, and reviewers. The journal applies a Single Blind Review model to ensure rigorous and fair quality assessment of all submissions.
Stages of Review
1. Initial Editorial Screening
Every incoming manuscript is checked first by the editor. If the article meets the focus and scope as well as the Explore writing guidelines, the document is forwarded to reviewers. If not, the manuscript is returned directly to the author.
2. Expert Evaluation
At least 2 reviewers evaluate each document for approximately 1–2 weeks, assessing the content and novelty based on the criteria stated in the Article Rating Form for Reviewers.
3. Revision & Final Decision
Reviewers may request a re-review after the author revises the article. The final decision to accept or reject an article is the authority of the Chief Editor based on the reviewers' recommendations. Submitted articles take an average of at least 2 weeks to be published.
